Of course, the Yankees lost Derek Jeter to a strained quad in his first game of the season after breaking his ankle last October, and they lost Alex Rodriguez to a strained quad this weekend while he was rehabbing from offseason hip surgery.
It wouldn't be too hard for the Yankees to fire back if they were in the mood though, as three Mets starting pitchers are on the disabled list with a varying array of shoulder issues.
