It seems Adam Jones wouldn’t welcome Tim Tebow as a teammate.
Adam Schefter of ESPN.com reported on Tuesday, the former Denver Broncos quarterback is actively pursuing a career in professional baseball. Tebow was apparently a decent baseball player in Florida before choosing football as the focus of his athletic endeavors.
The 29-year-old’s chances of playing an MLB game are next to slim. Despite that, Tebow intends on starting a baseball career. Don’t count on Jones as one of his supporters.
The Baltimore Orioles outfielder took to Twitter to mock Tebow, tweeting after the baseball season concludes, he’s going to try out for the NFL. Taking a shot at Tebow, he wrote he hasn’t played since high school but has played in a few TurkeyBowls.
After this @MLB season I'm going try out for the @NFL this offseason. I haven't played since HS but I've played in a few TurkeyBowls since!!

Jones is being awfully salty, but he’s got a point.
While it’s incredible Tebow is giving baseball a go this late in his career, just because he was good in high school doesn’t mean he’s got a chance to make it. Jones might have been good at football in high school, but as he points out, he’s not going to suddenly play in the NFL. Tebow isn’t Deion Sanders. He’s nearing his 30’s and hasn’t appeared in a single minor league game.
Unless a team takes a chance on Tebow as a part of a publicity stunt, his MLB future is likely nonexistent. Jones put Tebow on blast, but the point of his Tweet is bang on.
