The scene doesn’t need to be set a ton. David Ortiz and Kevin Gregg were going at it all at bat in the eighth inning in Boston last night. After Ortiz popped out to right, Gregg yelled something at him and was ejected. Ortiz responded by storming the mound and throwing some vicious punches at him. The benches and bullpens cleared, and we had ourselves one interesting little incident. It’ll be interesting to see if the fight prevents Ortiz from playing in the All-Star Game or Home Run Derby at all. I doubt it will. Even if he does still play, a ton of questions are going to be lobbed at him about the situation next week. Without any futher ado, here’s the video.
