As you might expect, Johnny Cueto is pretty happy about going from a fourth-place Cincinnati Reds club to a division leader and World Series favorite in the Kansas City Royals.
Naturally, Royals fans are also thrilled about the right-hander joining their rotation and a drive toward the championship Kansas City was so close to winning last year. You could say Cueto received a… Royal welcome on Tuesday.

How soon before we see fans sporting crown-and-dreadlocks headpieces at Kauffman Stadium? Those will surely become one of the hottest items in Kansas City whenever Cueto pitches during the remainder of the regular season and through the postseason.

Yep, the dude looks pretty happy to be pitching for a contender. Royal blue seems to suit Cueto nicely. And a World Series ring would go pretty nicely with that crown. We’re just sayin’…
