The first month of the 2015 Major League Baseball season is coming to an end, as teams start to re-calibrate expectations after the aura of Opening Day wears off. Not all teams can make it to the postseason, after all.
Wherever baseball fans are located, taking a trip to any ballpark is a great experience. Ticket Liquidator has found an interesting way to incentivize fans – particularly ones that believe in their team – to buy tickets before the end of April with their championship offer. Ticket Liquidator is refunding purchases for fans who buy home game tickets throughout the season if that team that wins this year’s World Series. Baseball tickets must be purchased before the end of April, however.
Imagine being a San Francisco Giants fan last year and buying tickets to a bunch of home games throughout the summer, only to be refunded after the team won the title! Quite a nice bonus on top of cheering on your team to the World Series.
Any fans of contending teams can get excited with Ticket Liquidator’s offer. Whether it’s the heavyweight favorites Red Sox, Dodgers, Nationals, Tigers or even contender clubs like the Kansas City Royals, Chicago Cubs and Seattle Mariners.
The seemingly always jumbled American League East is led by the Boston Red Sox, who are trying to recreate their pattern of winning a World Series after missing out on the playoffs a season before. The Baltimore Orioles, Toronto Blue Jays, Tampa Bay Rays and New York Yankees are all within two games, however.
The Detroit Tigers are looking to win their sixth straight AL Central division and are off to a hot start, leading the team who represented the AL in the World Series last year, the Kansas City Royals, by one game. KC is looking to prove last season’s amazing run was no fluke and are out to a very nice start themselves as well.
Is that the Astros in first? Yes, it’s early, but Houston is stringing together wins in the American League West and lead the Oakland Athletics, Los Angeles Angels, Texas Rangers, and Seattle Mariners. It’s still early, though, and it’s very likely those clubs will have a lot more impact before the season reaches its conclusion.
The Cardinals being in first place of the NL Central is nothing new but the team trailing behind in second, the Chicago Cubs, certainly is, and it’s the point where it’s becoming must-see TV with all their talented prospects reaching the major league stage at approximately the same time. Kris Bryant, one of the most hyped youngsters in many years, came up last week, while fellow top prospect Addison Russell just arrived the other day.
The Los Angeles Dodgers and San Diego Padres are dueling in the NL West. The Padres offseason acquisitions were not just to be competitive but also to earn a playoff position. Their new pieces have been effective early and will challenge the Dodgers for the top spot. The defending World Series champion Giants are also trying to stay in the mix early on.
Lastly, ask the New York Mets what it’s like to live up to the hype. The talented pitching staff has the team sitting in first place over the preseason World Series favorite Washington Nationals, as the Mets own the NL’s best record in the early going.
Expecting a ticket refund is not necessarily a main reason to buy baseball tickets. The reason is because the games are fun and going to the ballpark is a great experience. But this promotion does give an added reason to buy future home game tickets in April, especially if you are of the belief that your team has what it takes to take home the championship in 2015.
