The switch pitcher, Pat Venditte, baffled the Giants

During Tuesday’s Giants-Athletics Spring Training game, the A’s used Pat Venditte in the third and fourth innings against a pair of Giants hitters.

On the surface, there’s nothing special about this…until you realize that Venditte pitches with both his left and his right arm.

Venditte is unfortunately not on Oakland’s 40-man roster, so it doesn’t seem very likely that he’ll be on the Opening Day roster. But hey, Venditte got Justin Maxwell to ground out and Brandon Belt to strike out, and didn’t break much of a sweat doing it.

That’s pretty cool, and hopefully we’ll see him do his glove-switching trick at least once in the majors this season.
