Jayson Werth will actually serve jail time for his reckless driving charge

A few months ago, Washington Nationals outfielder Jayson Werth was charged with reckless driving in Virginia. In December, he was sentenced to ten days in jail.

Many scoffed at the possibility of a high profile person like Werth actually spending time in jail, but according to Justin Jouvenal of the Washington Post, it looks like Werth *will* be heading to jail.

What’s that? An athlete being held accountable for a non-violent crime, and simply not using his celebrity to get out of the sentence? I’ll be damned.
