Matt Kemp reportedly has arthritis in both hips

So, that huge Matt Kemp trade between the Dodgers and Padres? Yeah…it might not happen. The typically symbolic physical may actually present a huge problem for the Padres, because it’s revealed that Kemp has arthritis in both of his hips.

Needless to say, that’s not good.

Kemp’s agent, former MLB player Junior Spivey, is of the opinion that the deal will still happen.

Los Angeles is already sending the Padres $32 million in the trade. They might need to add some millions to that amount to help calm San Diego’s fears about Kemp’s hips.

This also could have an effect on the Jimmy Rollins trade between the Dodgers and Phillies – Zach Eflin, one of the pieces going to the Dodgers in the Kemp deal, is reportedly going to be spun to the Phillies as part of the return for Rollins.
