Rays announce manager finalists – Cash, Ibanez, Wakamatsu

ONE OF THESE THREE MEN WILL BE THE NEXT MANAGER OF THE TAMPA BAY RAYS

Will it be Kevin Cash, the current Indians bullpen coach and a former Rays catcher?

Will it be Raul Ibanez, who was sitting in the Royals dugout during the World Series last month as a player and has never coached in his life?

Or will it be Don Wakamatsu, the current Royals bench coach and former manager of the Seattle Mariners?

STAY TUNED TO FIND OUT!

But seriously, the Rays are going to interview their three finalists the week after Thanksgiving, and a choice will likely be made before the beginning of the Winter Meetings.

Tampa Bay interviewed ten candidates for the position initially, including a trio of ESPN analysts (Manny Acta, Doug Glanville, Barry Larkin), Brewers special assistant Craig Counsell, current Rays bench coach Dave Martinez, AAA Durham manager Charlie Montoyo, long-time Giants bench coach Ron Wotus.
