Tonight, the Baltimore Orioles and Kansas City Royals will do battle in the ALCS (assuming the rain holds out). It’ll be Baltimore’s first ALCS trip since 1997, and Kansas City’s first since 1985. In advance of this evening’s game, MLB Productions has released a pair of videos spotlighting some classic moments from each team’s history in the ALCS. Needless to say, the videos are awesome.
We start with the Orioles video, and don’t worry – there’s no Jeffrey Maier here.
And now, the Royals video.
MLB Productions pulling together all of this archival footage and releasing it at relevant times of the year is just awesome. Hell, it might be my favorite thing they’ve ever done, which says a lot.
