During the Cubs-Pirates game on Sunday at PNC Park, Josh Harrison started an around the horn, 5-4-3 triple play for the Pirates in the fourth inning.
This was the first triple play the Pirates have turned since April 12, 2009, which was a 6-4-3 triple play initiated by Jack Wilson on a sinking line drive.
But today, the play went around the horn from Harrison to Neil Walker to Andrew Lambo. Chris Valaika was forced out at third, Mike Olt was forced out at second, and the batter, Matt Szczur, was forced out at first.
Adding to his heroics in the field, Harrison hit a game-tying, two-run double in the bottom of the fifth. He then scored on a double by Travis Snider. Where in the hell would the Pirates be without him? His year has simply been incredible.
