The Albuquerque Isotopes are giving away Joc Pederson’s car

On Friday, August 29th, the Albuquerque Isotopes are giving away star outfielder Joc Pederson’s 1994 Buick Century in a raffle.

The car, nicknamed “Little Chucky,” has only 166,000 miles on it and has at least one operable window, which is really all you need. It is perfect for cruising around during the New Mexico summers with its “awesome” stereo system and lack of air conditioning. Kelly Blue Book estimates the value at nearly $1,000 (depending on if it has a full tank of gas). Little Chucky will also come with two complimentary air fresheners and whatever else Pederson forgets to clean out.

The team, which is the AAA affiliate of the Dodgers, will be holding the giveaway on the field after the game and prior to a fireworks show. All contestants must be at least 18 years of age and have a valid drivers license, and the winner will need to cover all of the taxes, license, and registration fees.

I don’t think I’ve ever seen a giveaway like this before, but for Pederson to be willing to give it up, he must be pretty confident of his future in the majors.
