With the White Sox trailing the Orioles 3-2 in the bottom of the seventh inning, Nick Markakis robbed Conor Gillaspie of what would have been a go-ahead two run homer.
Not content with taking away Chicago’s chance at tying the game, Markakis capped off a five-run eighth inning for Baltimore with a two-run homer of his own to right field with a little more lift than Gillaspie’s fly out had.
