Kyle Lohse’s pine tar laden bat was stuck to his hands

During Wednesday night’s Phillies-Brewers game, Kyle Lohse laid down a sac bunt in the fifth inning. He kept the bat in his hands for nearly his entire trek up the first base line, and when he got back into the dugout, we learned why – there was too much pine tar on the bat, and it was stuck to Lohse’s hands. Somewhere, George Brett is nodding approvingly.
