Kevin Pillar slams into center field wall making catch

Toronto Blue Jays center fielder Kevin Pillar is a fantastic defender. Occasionally when tracking down long fly balls, he runs into things.

In the top of the first inning of Monday’s ALCS Game 3, Pillar tracked down this Lorenzo Cain fly ball…and smashed into the fence.

The Jays could have used Pillar in right to start the game – Jose Bautista misplayed a hit by Alcides Escobar and turned it into a triple. Escobar would score the game’s first run on a groundout by Ben Zobrist one batter later.
